Main Hall
The main hall floor area is approximately 8.4 meters x 15.3 meters. With an additional 5 meter deep stage. The hall has a maximum height of 5.5 meters.
Stage
There are cord-drawn curtains across the front of the stage. Plain backdrop curtaining can be drawn across the rear and the sides of the stage during performances. There is a simple stage lighting system.
Lighting
The lights in the main hall are easily dimmable.
Heating and Cooling
The central heating is set according to a timer. The settings can be overridden if necessary.
Air cooling units, which can also be used for extra heating are installed in the main hall and the kitchen.
Kitchen
The kitchen has just undergone a major refurbishment and is equipped with a five-burner gas cooker, 4 fan-assisted ovens, 2 dishwashers, a fridge freezer with built-in icemaker, a 26-bottle wine chiller and a hot water boiler.
A wheeled hot trolley is available. Mugs and plain white cups and saucers are free of charge. 130 place settings (dinner & breakfast plates, pudding bowls, cups & saucers and cutlery) are available for hire. Wine glasses are available on request.
There are available fifteen 70cm by 180cm tables and accompanying chairs.
Cloakroom
There are approximately 100 coat hangers and 26 low level children's coat hooks.
Washrooms
Airblade hand dryers are installed in the ground floor ladies' and gents' toilets.
Extra toilets situated on the first floor will be unlocked on request.
An accessible toilet with a nappy changing unit is on the ground floor.
Access
There is a car park at the rear of the building for approximately 40 vehicles. There is also on-street parking around the area.
There are two parking bays reserved for people with mobility problems.
The ground floor is wheelchair accessible with one accessible toilet.
A chairlift is installed on the stairs leading to the first floor.
An induction loop system hearing aid system, accessible through hearing aids fitted with a T-switch, can be switched on when the sound system is in use.
Large print versions of all documents are available on request.
Bollards at the front of the hall can be removed to allow access for heavy equipment.
